Do you work with elementary students? Are you looking for ways to improve your teaching or for engaging resources to use with your kids? If so, then you’ve come to the right place! Here at The Inspired Educator, I aim to give you articles and materials that you can use to help your kids learn more. Isn’t that what we all want for our students? On this website, you will find various posts about teaching and learning, as well as a variety of worksheets, activities, and lesson plans that you can use with your kids. My goal is to make your job easier, because teaching is hard (but oh so important)!
How It All Began
But how did The Inspired Educator come to be, you ask? Well, my name is Victoria, and I am a teacher-turned-mom who is passionate about teaching and learning. When my daughter Hazel was born, I wanted to stay at home with her, but I did not want to leave education completely. I love helping kids learn and helping teachers be their best teacher selves…SO, I launched The Inspired Educator! During my five years working in education, I taught first, second, and third grade. I also tutored students from preschool through high school. I know from personal experience how difficult, yet rewarding, it is to be an educator. As a result, I designed The Inspired Educator to improve YOUR life as an educator! Is there something I could do to better assist you? If so, send me an email or leave a comment on The Inspired Educator’s Facebook page.
About Me
A little bit more about me, just for fun. As you already know, I am a mom who loves to inspire educators everywhere. I have a BA in English and a Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education, both from the University of Virginia. Before becoming a mom, I worked in elementary school for five years, including three years of full-time teaching. Now, I live in Lexington, KY with my husband, Tyler, my toddler daughter, Hazel, and our two cats, Abby and Daisy. Most of the time, you can find me loving on my baby and my fur babies, spending time with my hubby, or blogging. In my spare time, I enjoy running, biking, baking, reading, drinking coffee, eating good food or watching Netflix.
